Tree Protection and Replacement Plans

 

Tree Protection and Replacement Plans are required plans for obtaining a Land Disturbance Permit (LDP) designed, drawn and stamped by a licensed landscape architect.  Patterson Environmental Design Solutions can provide the required plans for LDPs in all Georgia jurisdictions.  With twenty-three years of permitting Tree Protection and Replacement Plans in Georgia and throughout the Southeast, Patterson Environmental Design Solutions can provide the design solutions and permitting assistance you need to acquire your Land Disturbance Permit or local Site review board approvals.

Patterson Environmental Design Solutions draws upon extensive jurisdictional knowledge to prepare quality Tree Ordinance Plans as required for the LDP.  When required, we work with certified arborists for tree assessment reports, prescriptive tree preservation methods and jurisdictional plan approvals.  The difference between a knowledgeable design team and an inexperienced design team can cost the client significant financial penalties and create costly delays for land disturbance activities.  Patterson Environmental Design Solutions provides value to our customers with quality design, efficient permitting and responsive customer service.

Land Planning

Responsible, sustainable development begins with extensive knowledge of environmental and jurisdictional processes.  David Patterson brings 23 years of land planning experience in the Metro Atlanta area, state of Georgia and throughout the southeast to your project.  Each project is unique and thus requires knowledge of the product type along with a finger on the pulse of the development industry to provide master planning in an environmental and cost sensitive manner.

Patterson Environmental Design Solutions has Land Planning experience for these project types:  Residential, Multi-family residential, k-12 education, higher education facilities and housing, churches, Medical Campuses, Senior Housing and Assisted Living developments, retail centers, mixed-use developments, office parks and warehouse and distribution centers.

 

Sustainability begins through planning.  Responsible development is not limited to environmental concerns, responsible development must also be sensitive to client and user group’s needs.  The synthesis of our client’s development with the environment is always our main goal.  The intent of quality planning is to provide a guidance document for more detailed site engineering and environmental planning.  Understanding the jurisdictional requirements, both administrative and environmental, allows Patterson Environmental Design Solutions to provide quality, efficient and economical designs for the realization of our client’s expectations.

Landscape Architect and co-owner of Patterson Environmental Design Solutions, David Patterson, PLA has experience working with large hardscape and landscape projects ranging from tens of thousands of dollars in construction to millions of dollars in construction costs.  Extensive Landscape Architectural and Construction knowledge allows us to provide beautiful designs that become wonderful spaces.

Sediment/Erosion Control and Environmental Design

 

Sustainable environmental design begins with a passion for the natural environment.  Water can become a powerfully destructive element under the right circumstances.  Soil that has been exposed for construction activities is very vulnerable to the forces of water erosion.  Without proper controlling measures, site soils can wash from the site into adjacent streams and water bodies damaging sensitive environments for plants and animals.

 

Patterson Environmental Design Solutions believes that protection and enhancement of our natural environmental must be our main priority.  Incorporating sustainable environmental principles into every design and construction project is our responsibility and a design priority.  David Patterson, PLA is a Level II Certified Design Professional for Soil and Erosion Control, as well as, a Practicing Landscape Architect (PLA).  Bringing native planting knowledge and sediment and erosion control design together allows Patterson Environmental Design Solutions to develop environmental design solutions that mimic the natural environment and minimize impacts to sensitive ecosystems.
